The Cost of Patek Philippe Watches

The Patek Philippe Watch is one of those Swiss products that have been able to maintain its high quality and standard when it comes to timepieces.  People consider it a collectible and worthy every penny spent if they have a watch collection.  For over a hundred years, this Swiss watchmaker brand has been able to produce some of the more notable watches in this century, which have been seen on the wrist of famous people and celebrities. Notable people from different areas like government, show business, arts, and royalty have been seen sporting their watches, be it a formal or informal event.

Patek Philippe watch is one of the more preferred watches of Hollywood celebrities, A-listers and notable people of the society.  The brand has been around for quite some time, more than a hundred years actually.  There have been quite a number of endorsers that the company got to promote their product.  But needless to say, it does not really have to get one, as the brand itself is enough to sell itself.  Who does not recognize this famous brand along with its unique logo right? You can ask people from all over the world and they are sure to recognize the brand logo which is distinctly their own.

Compared to other brands, those under the Patek Philippe brand clearly cost more.  If placed side by side with the other watches and comparing their prices, it would really make someone think twice before purchasing their own Patek Philippe because of the significant price difference.

Here are some of the most popular and newest Patek Philippe timepieces and their cost, which can be a bit steep for most people, but still very mush in demand and exciting:

  • Patek Philippe Ref. 5200 Gondolo 8 Days, Day & Date Indication
Introduced in this year’s Baselworld, this handsome watch has a rectangular face in sapphire blue. The calendar mechanism is very complicated, but only measures 5.05 cm thick. It retails for $59,400.

  • Patek Philippe Calatrava Ref. 5227
The Calatrava, first introduced in 1932, has indeed come a long way. The newest line of Calatravas, also introduced in the 2013 Baselworld timepiece expo, has been noticed to have a larger case and a redesigned hinged dustcover. The rose-gold edition retails at $37,300 and the yellow-gold edition retails at $35,400.

  • Patek Philippe 4973G Ladies' Gondolo Serata, White Gold & Diamonds
For the ladies, this spells the height of sophistication. The dial is colored mother of peark and the font of the numerals is done Breguet-style. This is in stark contrast with the Patek patented black satin strap. It is water resistant up to 30 meters, and retails for $37,000.

If you want to see the other collections, check out Chong Hing Jewellers.  They have a wide array of collections of luxury watches under the Patek Philippe brand and other Swiss luxury brands.       They may be very tough on the budget, but its value can only be increase as it ages, so you can think of them as investments.
