Makes Sense? Well, You’re Welcome

The sunglasses are indeed an integral part of a truly cool person’s sunglasses.

Not that it matters, but here’s a compilation of some of the things that make sunglasses the awesome thing that they are. I felt it may make you guys smile so here’s something to read on before you leave the house and make your way to the wholesale sunglasses section of the department store.

Tissue on lens. It is not advisable to use tissue paper when wiping off dirt from the lenses. Why? Simply because tissue is made of wood. Makes sense? Well, you are very welcome.

Get those sunnies off. There’s one good reason why you need to take off your polarized sunglasses indoors especially if you are watching an LCD presentation – polarized lenses actually make an LCD screen hard to see! Not only are you saved a great load of ridicule by taking them sunnies off indoors, you are actually making seeing easier. Makes sense again? You’re welcome.

Now you really do not know this, no way: It is believed that ancient people from dating back to the year 1000 already had means to help them when reading gets tough. Yes, they used stones that were made of glass to magnify the writings on walls and stone tablets. No word on whether they also used them to check out the hot ladies from other tribes. Welcome.

Matrix Movie Used Sunglasses

If you knew what the Matrix is. Did you know that the protagonists of this movie wore rounded lenses whereas their counterparts wore rectangular ones? Not that it has any effect on your everyday life, but yeah, it does sound cool and it’s something to tell less capable dummies, so you’re very welcome.

This next one is a useless statistic. In the US, every 14 seconds, a person either loses or breaks a pair of sunnies. Hey you’ve been warned; you’re welcome.

Okay, okay. Did you know that the priciest pair of sunglasses ever sold on a popular buy and sell site went for 250,000 dollars? It’s Elvis Presley’s personal Madison Square Garden sunglasses. Most “Fun Facts About Sunglasses” list on the net has this so I figured it’d be cool to include it on my list, too. If you are a fan of the king and you didn’t know that, it only means one thing: you probably are a poser.

Oh by the way, you’re welcome.

In Style and Back

Eyewear never gets out of style. Throughout the years, we are able to see what kind of shades are in fashion by the shakes and movers like actors and famous people. However, nowadays when personality is considered a fashion statement, anybody be fashionable with the right eyewear.

Take advantage of wholesale sunglasses offered by different companies to update your accessories. Eyewear is a good investment but one does not need to spend thousands of dollars for designer ones. Any kind of clothing can be highlighted by a good pair of shades. It is important to note however, what kind of sunglasses would fit a person’s face in order to look good.

Oversized Round Eyewear

In the 1960’s oversized round eyewear became popular because of one first lady – Jacqueline Kennedy Onasis. Jacky O, as she is currently known, then married to President Kennedy, rocked this type of sunglasses with her chic clothing. People that have an oval-shape face are best to wear this. It can be worn with tailored clothing of simple design. For someone that had a heart-shaped visage, cat-eye sunglasses would be the best choice. A round shaped face would need glasses with angular frames would define the face as opposed to a square shaped one who would need round glasses.

Eyewear With Extra Detailing

After two decades, adding details to an eyewear is considered a fad. In the 1980’s famous people like Princess Diana opted to wear plastic and standout frames. It showed the playfulness of the wearer as well as fearlessness since some designs were so out of this world.

Tinted sunglasses were produced in the mid-18th century for medical purposes. It is now being used to protect the eyes from the harmful sunrays that may cause cancer. It has now become popular with the likes of Brad Pitt. This kind of shades would be best for a suit.

Those black and brown spotted designs are definitely back as well. The trend of using tortoise shells as a design element in horn rimmed glasses reached its peak in the 1980s, when New Wave singers wore them in appearances and music videos. These days, Hollywood celebrities like Johnny Depp have been spotted wearing these glasses, and the design is expected to reach a new high in popularity this year.

MMA Fighters who Play Golf

Due to the nature of the two games, MMA and golf will never make a perfect marriage. It didn’t help that the outspoken former UFC fighter Jason “Mayhem” Miller had this thing to say about the organization he used to work for:

“You keep thinking the UFC is real. It’s not. It’s governed by one petty, insecure, chunky golf player.”

Whether or not it made Dana White’s butt shake and what happened after being none of my concern. But I got interested to write this article after seeing Urijah Faber, Mark Munoz, and Chael Sonen play golf on TV. It was for a charity tournament Faber organized. At one point it showed another fighter play with a golf cart cover as the three continue to banter.

Another charity golf tournament that got my attention was the one organized by Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker and it featured the organization’s best fighters. Here are three of my favorites who were part of that tournament, headlining my list of MMA fighters who play golf.

Daniel Cormier

When this former Olympic wrestler signed with the UFC, I already knew he was gonna make it big. “DC” is a former Strikeforce Grand Prix heavyweight champion and currently, the UFC ranks him as the no. 2 contender. The chances of him facing teammate and good friend Cain Velasquez may be out of the picture though, as he prefers to step down the light heavyweight division and fight Jon Jones instead. Still a matchup for the ages, no complaints.

Gilbert Melendez

A two-time Strikeforce lightweight champion, Gilbert “El Nino” Melendez is another Strikeforce graduate who has been raking success in the UFC. He is, in my opinion an uncrowned champion after decisively beating (again, in my opinion) Benson Henderson in their UFC on Fox encounter, and that’s before Anthony Pettis took the title away from Henderson. Gilbert’s most recent fight with Diego Sanchez proved he isn’t one to get emotionally swayed as he stood toe to toe with Sanchez en route to a unanimous decision victory. Currently, he is ranked no. 3 in the division and is once again at the doorstep of another title shot.

Cain Velasquez

The American Top Team’s top dog is of course the present UFC heavyweight champion. The things he does in the cage against the world’s top heavyweights has been nothing short of spectacular. The trilogy he had with Junior Dos Santos was one of the best the world has ever seen, and on two occasions he gave Dos Santos the biggest beating anyone has ever dealt with someone inside the octagon. Although no formal announcement has been made yet, Fabricio Werdum looms to be the next opponent for Velasquez. Now, as long as Cain keeps the fight standing, I am perfectly sure he will retain his belt.
